Dec 26, 2015. Quoting from AJTT, the first Omega wristwatch (in 1900) was a Cal.12 ligne (lépine, with no sub-second hand). There follow (in AJTT) two watches without sub-seconds (Cal.15 ligne for men, Cal.12 ligne for ladies – both lépine) – both were ‘left-handers’ (crown at 9 . The movements in both watches are typical of Omega exports to the US (with the decorated plates and ‘SWISS’ marked next to the balance cock. I've bought a very early Omega wristwatch with fixed lugs. I can't find much information about the watch, I found one on the internet without the engraving on the case from 1928 according to the seller. The case is completely .925 silver by Omega and 30mm width. Equipped with a porcelain dial. Quite an early Omega wristwatch. Maybe even from the 20s. 3 Posts 1,607 Likes 8,120. bubba48

Hello all, As most of you are probably aware La Generale, or The General Watch Co, was a sister company to Omega founded by the Brandt brothers in 1895. They pulled out of the company in 1911. It was not however the forerunner to Omega as is often incorrectly stated. I recently purchased this 1907 hallmarked General Watch Co wristwatch.
