Look up Chads paint when we painted my son’s car I looked at a lot of suppliers some say use a lower grade shop base paint and we did the 1st time painting my son’s car it looked good. when I found (SPI Primers) Berry the owner of Spi recommend motobase sold by chads paints said it would be as close to the original B5 Blue the . wanda has no support direct from akzo. its is supported by the jobber so the level of service you get will depend on that. one jobber might be great and other might suck. none of the akzo lines have a very abundant color library for classic cars. pre mid 80's and and its hit or miss. wanda is fantastic base though. every bit as good as any of the premium lines. never . tcp doesnt make paint. its some bottom line crap that they put their label on. i would never use that crap. anything is better than the private label stuff. the chromax stuff is ok quality wise but it doesnt cover worth a crap and expensive so it wouldnt be my first choice. the motobase is fine, cheaper and will cover much better.
